Drawing from his background in project management, computing, international business management, and operations, Patrick blends technical expertise with strategic leadership to position Tech Home as a pioneer in smart estates and community-driven innovation. Beyond housing, his work integrates IoT-enabled smart home automation, techno-agriculture, and ERP systems, enabling clients to achieve energy and water efficiency while enhancing property safety and accessibility.

Patrick has spearheaded projects that include registration and support of a Community Secondary School, a 4,000-farmer initiative focused on environmental sustainability, and installing over 86 hydroponic vertical gardens in nine months during the COVID-19 pandemic, showcasing his commitment to urban farming and sustainable living. He has successfully delivered over 50 smart automation projects, helping clients save between 20–45% on energy costs while promoting healthier, greener lifestyles. His leadership also extends to agribusiness innovation, where he leverages ERP systems to streamline farm management and improve productivity.

Esther W. Watene
Esther W. Watene is the Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of Tech Home East Africa Ltd, where she directs operational strategy, administration, and the execution of smart housing and sustainable infrastructure projects. With more than 14 years of experience in customs, revenue, and international trade, she brings deep expertise in regulatory compliance, trade facilitation, and organisational leadership, positioning Tech Home as a trusted partner in building smarter, greener communities.

At Tech Home, Esther oversees finance, human resources, and design while leading the importation and distribution of smart devices and equipment. She has implemented performance management and customer analytics tools that increased satisfaction by 30%, streamlined operations to reduce cycle times by 20%, and expanded product offerings in interior design that boosted customer conversion rates by 15%. Her focus on efficiency, customer satisfaction, and talent development has strengthened the company’s capacity to deliver innovative, community-driven solutions across East Africa.

Previously, Esther served at the Kenya Revenue Authority, where she coordinated Pre-Export Verification of Conformity programs, authored the Customs Valuation Handbook now used across East African training schools, and trained customs agents and officers in Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya. Recognised as a World Customs Organisation-accredited trainer and valuation expert, she has benchmarked global best practices in Malaysia and Japan and delivered training under WTO, EAC, and FIEFFA frameworks. She combines technical rigour with strategic vision to ensure operational excellence and lasting impact.

Head of Business Development & Partnerships
Allan W. Kariuki
Allan W. Kariuki is the Head of Business Development and Partnerships at Tech Home East Africa Ltd, where he drives strategic growth, stakeholder engagement, and the expansion of sustainable smart housing solutions. With nearly a decade of experience in program and project management, he has advanced community empowerment, environmental conservation, and institutional capacity building, ensuring Tech Home’s initiatives deliver measurable outcomes aligned with global development goals.

Previously, Allan served as Program/Project Management Specialist at NeoLife International, leading high‑impact projects across East Africa. He managed cross‑functional teams, built partnerships with NGOs and government agencies, and rolled out programs that reached over 5,000 individuals and 6,000 farmers. His leadership in economic empowerment and sustainable agriculture demonstrated his ability to scale initiatives that blend innovation with community impact.

A finance and strategic management professional, Allan is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and certified in Agile Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Strategic Leadership. He combines technical expertise with financial acumen to deliver innovative, community‑driven solutions, making him a key driver of Tech Home’s mission to build smart, sustainable communities across East Africa.

Chief Financial Officer
Geoffrey W. Mbwika
Geoffrey W. Mbwika is the Chief Financial Officer, Tech Home East Africa Ltd. He is a distinguished finance executive with over 20 years of leadership across diverse industries, including logistics, manufacturing, telecommunications, aviation, and agribusiness. His career reflects a consistent record of strengthening financial systems, optimising resource allocation, and guiding organisations through complex regulatory and operational landscapes.

He holds a Master of Science in Finance & Accounting from KCA University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Nairobi, complemented by professional certifications as a CPA (K), CIFA, and CPS (K). This strong academic and professional foundation equips him with advanced expertise in financial modelling, compliance, and corporate governance.

Head of Internal Audit & Compliance
Elizabeth W. Syombua
Elizabeth W. Syombua, CPA-K, is the Head of Internal Audit & Compliance at Tech Home East Africa Ltd. She is a Certified Public Accountant with more than a decade of experience leading financial management, donor compliance, and audit coordination across diverse sectors in East Africa.
She has successfully overseen complex donor-funded projects (USAID, EU, FCDO), built grant reporting frameworks, and strengthened payroll and statutory compliance for NGOs, agribusinesses, and consulting firms.
Her track record includes designing internal controls that safeguard resources, implementing ERP systems that improve transparency, and leading teams through rigorous audit preparation and risk management.

Geoffrey N. Kinuthia
Geoffrey N. Kinuthia is the Head of Engineering & Technical Services at Tech Home East Africa Ltd, where he leads smart housing design, technical innovation, and sustainable infrastructure development. With over 12 years of experience as an architect and project leader, he has built a career spanning architectural design, project management, and technical oversight, consistently delivering projects that balance innovation with safety and efficiency across East Africa.

He has previously worked with firms such as Dreambuilder Consultants, Artis Designs & Associates, and Markem Project Managers, where he developed detailed blueprints, managed contractors, and implemented quality assurance protocols to uphold the highest standards. Skilled in CAD and 3D rendering, Geoffrey translates visionary concepts into practical, buildable designs, while his background in landscape architecture gives him a holistic perspective on integrating structures with their environments.
